What is the North Texas Pacific Islander Festival?

The North Texas Pacific Islander Festival is an annual event celebrating the traditional music, performances, cultural workshops, and cuisine of the indigenous peoples of Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia. The festival offers a memorable and educational experience for attendees of all ages.

When and where will the festival take place?

The 3rd Annual North Texas Pacific Islander Festival will be held on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025 at Generations Park @ Boys Ranch 2801 Forest Ridge Drive, Bedford, TX 76021 from 12pm to 7pm.  This is an outside event.  Please bring your own lawn chairs, picnic blankets, and/or umbrellas.

 

Is there an entry fee?

The festival is free to attend. However, some workshops or activities may require a fee, and food and merchandise will be available for purchase.

What activities can I expect at the festival?

Attendees can enjoy live music and traditional dance performances.  Vendors will also be selling authentic Pacific Islander food, beverages, and crafts.

 

What kind of food will be available?

A variety of authentic Pacific Islander dishes will be offered, such as teriyaki bowls, poke, spam musubi, etc.  

 

Can I become a food or merchandise vendor?

Yes! Registration is open however, we have a limited amount of space available  The deadline to apply is March 3rd, 2025.  Please register here.

 

How can I volunteer for the festival?

We’re always looking for volunteers to help make the event a success. Please fill out a contact form and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.

 

Can I perform at the festival?

If you are a musician, dancer, or performer representing Pacific Islander culture, we would love to hear from you.  Registration is open however, space is limited.  The deadline to apply is February 14th, 2025.  Please register here.

 

Is the festival wheelchair accessible?

Yes, the venue is wheelchair accessible.

 

Where can I park?

Free parking will be available on-site.  We will also have free overfill parking nearby at designated areas.  

 

Can I bring my pet?

Yes, pets are welcome to join.

Will there be a festival program?

Yes, a program with the schedule of the performances will be posted on online and on social media.
